“I want to capture the beauty of Yale Field as former players remember it. The players I spoke with all had a number of memories in common: the walk through the dark stadium concourse up into the brilliant sunshine of Yale Field; the diamond stretched out across the grass; the green monster standing guard over center field; the sweeping curve of the stadium roof and the endless deep blue sky of September practices. When baseball alums see this painting I hope to bring them back to Yale Field.”
